Happy New Year! The celebrations for the holiday season are over and what a year 2016 has been. I launched my style and beauty consultancy business, Georgie Steeples Style & Beauty in April and it is growing from strength to strength and I am getting to meet and work with such wonderful people, I really can’t wait to see what 2017 has in store for me. I love to research and try out new beauty products, that I can recommend to clients and so I thought I would share with you my best of 2016: the beauty edit…

beauty, skincare, best in beauty 2016,

      1. Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream – this cream is so lovely and thick and is great for really dry skin. I tend to use this at night-time and massage onto my face and neck and let it work it’s “magic” over-night. Be careful with this product if you suffer from oily or acne-prone skin as this may exacerbate the issue. If in doubt pick up a sample – £70.00
      2. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer (Luminous Bronze) – this is my favourite bronzer ever! I use it over my cheekbones, forehead and down my nose and it gives a wonderful glow to the skin. The fine particles means that it doesn’t look powdery on the skin giving a more natural finish – £45.00
      3. Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel – this is a lovely light gel that can be used as a morning or evening cleanser. It’s not drying at all and leaves skin feeling really clean and soft. This is one of my favourite cleansers at the moment and I tend to alternate between this and Emma Hardie Cleansing Moringa which I absolutely love too – £29.50
      4. Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush in Ecstasy – My favourite combination is to use this with the Hourglass bronzer, it makes me look healthy and my skin glows – I absolutely love it! The outer shade is a warm coral with a soft frosted finish and the inner shade is a pink with gold shimmer. The shimmer is subtle and adds to the glory effect. A little goes a long way so easy to build to your desired look – £30.00
      5. Bobbi Brown Blush Brush – the best blush brush I have ever used. It spreads product evenly giving a beautiful finish. I absolutely recommend investing in good make-up brushes as they will last you years, especially if you look after them properly. Check out my “how to wash your make-up brushes” post here – £35.00
      6. NYX Nude lipliner – a really good natural lipliner that is so affordable. It sells out super quick so keep your eyes peeled anytime you see a NYX counter! – £5.50
      7. Aesop Hand Cream – this has become part of my night-time routine and I find the scent of mandarin rind, rosemary leaf and cedar wood atlas so relaxing and the cream sinks in really quickly so there’s no greasy residue. It feels so luxurious and is a pleasure to use – £19.00
      8. Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea salt Cologne – my current go to perfume. It has earthy, woody tones which I prefer to floral scents and the bottle is just beautiful – £86.00
      9. Loreal Volume Million Lashes So Couture – I have tried so many mascaras and I get super excited when I find a good one on the high street. This gives length and curl without being too clumpy, and it’s buildable so you can get your desired effect – £9.99

What have been your favourite products? I would love to hear from you in the comments below.
